Brief introduction to the Founder of Sanatan Sanstha
Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale, a world-renowned Psychiatrist and Hypnotherapist founded Sanatan Sanstha in 1999, inspired by His Guru Saint Bhaktaraj Maharaj (from Indore, Madhya Pradesh), with the aim of introducing Spirituality in a scientific language and guiding seekers to obtain Bliss by performing sadhana. In the initial stages, He started study classes and later satsangs. Now Sanatan Sanstha is performing the mission of spreading Spirituality and Dharma through various media. Spirituality is the essence of human life. By God’s grace and the blessings of Saints, Sanatan Sanstha has accomplished a fundamental and spiritually sublime mission in the last 25 years to make human life blissful.
Prime objective is to teach sadhana (Spiritual practice) for a blissful life
Spiritual knowledge is vast and infinite. An average person may find it difficult to comprehend or might wonder who to worship. People know about pujas, visiting temples and pilgrimage places, fasting, reading Scriptures, attending spiritual discourses and kirtans (Devotional discourses), performing vrats (Vowed religious observances), etc., which means doing something associated with God. However, it was Sanatan Sanstha which first defined which sadhana is to be performed as per the significance of the times, in a planned manner as a daily action and also how to perform it. This is the characteristic of sadhana advised by Sanatan Sanstha.
Obtaining Anand is the sole purpose of human life. Everything we do, is to obtain Anand. Only Spirituality can teach us how to obtain it. This is what Sanatan Sanstha has imprinted on society.
Features of sadhana advised by Sanatan Sanstha
A. Advising Spirituality and sadhana using scientific terminology that is simple to understand and to the point
It is only Sanatan Sanstha which made the spiritually curious aware about the purpose of human life, why is sadhana necessary to obtain Anand, which is the best sadhana in
Kaliyug, what are the basic principles of sadhana, what is vyashti (Individual) and samashti sadhana (for the spread of Spirituality), etc. Sanatan Sanstha provided guidance on these and other queries using scientific terminology in a simple and precise manner, through satsangs, discourses, Texts, CDs, Periodicals, etc.
B. Gurukrupayoga for rapid spiritual progress
Though there are many Paths of sadhana for God-realisation, the common principle that is applicable to each Path is ‘Gurukrupa Hi Kevalam, Shishya Param Mangalam’, meaning, ‘A disciple can progress spiritually only through the Guru’s grace’. Hence, Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale developed Gurukrupayoga, which is a confluence of Bhaktiyoga, Karmayoga and Jnanyoga. This includes Personality defect removal, Ego removal, Awakening of bhav (Spiritual emotion), Chanting God’s Name, Satsang, Satseva (Serving the God Principle), Tyag (Sacrifice) and Priti (Spiritual love devoid of expectations). Simultaneously striving to practice through these stages leads to rapid spiritual progress.
C. Prioritising sadhana according to the nature
A unique characteristic of the sadhana advised by Sanatan Sanstha is that it is as per a Principle in Spirituality which says – ‘There are as many temperaments as there are people and a corresponding number of Paths of spiritual practice’. Hence, Sanatan is not a sect.
D. Getting actual sadhana performed
Sanatan Sanstha is the first spiritual organisation to tell the world that Spirituality includes only 2% of theoretical information while 98% is practical in nature. Sanatan Sanstha’s unique feature is ensuring that the spiritually curious implement the theoretical aspects of Spirituality. Till now, many Saints have prescribed the process of elimination of six foes or Anthakaran-shuddhi (Cleansing of the subconscious mind) for God-realisation. However, Sanatan Sanstha’s specialty is that it teaches how to perform sadhana through the process of Personality defect removal and Ego removal. Seekers are also taught how to awaken bhav so that they become devotees and disciples.
E. Sanatan Sanstha moulds seekers into Saints
Seekers have made rapid spiritual progress by performing sadhana as mentioned above, and thus, over time, many seekers have been moulded into Saints. Till now 122 seekers have become Saints, and more than 1,054 seekers are on the way to becoming Saints. For those who really have a sincere desire for God-realisation through sadhana, Sanatan Sanstha has placed before society an ideal course with results !
Sanatan’s spiritual mission for the spread of Chaitanya in Society
A. Sanatan’s Saints are chanting for the society, and for reducing the intensity of the coming adverse times
Since Sanatan’s Saints are chanting for society, it also benefits from their presence and Chaitanya (Divine consciousness). In the coming years, the Chaitanya and sadhana of Sanatan’s Saints will play a major role in the establishment of Ramrajya (Divine Rule).
B. Benefiting from chanting as advised by Sanatan’s Saints
During the Corona pandemic, Sanatan’s Saints advised chanting for society. Many people had unique spiritual experiences of fast recovery from this pandemic or did not get affected by Corona at all. Many people spiritually experienced getting relieved of their problems by performing remedies such as chanting a specific Name of God, etc. as advised by Sanatan’s Saints. Even Sanatan’s seekers had spiritual experiences of elimination of their difficulties in the tasks they had undertaken.
C. Research on unique spiritual remedies
Any physical, mental or familial trouble, or the reason for any difficulty is 80% spiritual in nature. When spiritual measures are employed to overcome them, its severity reduces quickly. Sanatan has suggested various remedies such as searching for the appropriate chant for various kinds of distress through the Pranashakti flow system; using empty boxes, Bhimseni camphor, natural perfume, sattvik (Spiritually pure) items such as peacock feathers, etc.; performing mudras; performing salt water remedy; casting off the evil eye; chanting 2 days before and 2 days after Amavasya-Purnima tithis to ward off increase in the intensity of distress caused by negative energies; using Name-strips in a premises for spiritual cleansing, etc. By performing these simple and easy remedies, many have had spiritual experiences that their problems have been solved.
D. Creating images and pictures in which 30% Principle of the Deity is active
Sanatan Sanstha has created pictures of 8 Superior Deities – Shiva, Shrikrushna, Shriram, Hanuman, Ganapati, Datta, Mahalakshmi and Durga Devi, to make it easier for worshippers or seekers who perform sadhana for God-realisation so as to be in communion with the respective Deity, and too obtain greater benefit of Chaitanya and Shakti from that Deity. These pictures attract and emit vibrations of the respective Deities and have been developed by Sanatan’s seekers according to the descriptions of the Deities in the Scriptures. These seekers perform the sadhana of God-realisation through the medium of Art under the guidance of Saints. Many people have had the spiritual experience of their bhav getting awakened, actually perceiving the existence of the Deity, and increasing their communion with the Deity, by meditating on the Deity’s picture and chanting. Even today, research is being conducted according to the science of vibrations and under the guidance of Saints to ensure higher Principle of Deities is attracted into these pictures.
The only organisation that advises preparation for the future severe adverse times !
Everyone has experienced the dire conditions during the Corona pandemic. Many Saints and Seers have said that there will be a terrible World War 3 in the coming period. Sanatan Sanstha has been advising through Texts, Periodicals, websites, social media, etc. about the measures required to survive this period. Sanatan Sanstha has provided detailed information on many related topics, right from stocking essential commodities, food items, grains, to cultivating medicinal plants, storing facilities for water, electricity, performing Agnihotra, etc.
