Kashmiri female journalist Yana Mir addressed the British Parliament !

The people of Kashmir are completely safe while Pakistan continues to tarnish its reputation !

London (Britain) – The people in Kashmir, a part of India, are entirely secure and free. I am not Malala Yusufzai who had to flee from her own country (Pakistan) driven by the fear of district terrorism. I can advocate my thoughts openly in India and remain safe. Pakistan is propagating falsehoods about Kashmir, stated Indian Kashmiri activist and journalist Yana Mir while criticising Pakistan. She accused Pakistan of tarnishing India’s image internationally. She strongly condemned it. There was thunderous applause for her statement. Yana Mir was speaking at the ‘Resolution Day’ organised by the British Parliament in London. She also urged international media to stop inciting unrest among the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Yana Mir said

1. My homeland Kashmir, which is a part of India, is safe. I never feel the need to flee to other countries for shelter.

2. I will never resort to Yusufzai’s actions of fleeing from her own country; however, I strongly object to actions such as, victimising Malala, that defame my country, my progressive homeland. My objection is to those representatives of social media and international media who have never bothered to visit Kashmir in India and yet indulge in negative propaganda. Such people create tales of oppression without ever setting foot in Kashmir.

3. I urge you to stop dividing Indians based on religion. We will not let you break our unity.

4. This year on ‘Resolution Day,’ I hope that Britain and Pakistan will refrain from defaming my country on international broadcasting platforms or international human rights forums.

5. Thousands of Kashmiri mothers have lost their sons due to terrorism. I urge my Kashmiri community to strive for peace. Thank you and Jai Hind.

Editorial Perspective

Not just Pakistan, but the alleged extremist political factions within India are doing so as well.
