Thane – Students from the prestigious ‘C.P. Goenka International School’ in Thane experienced a distressing incident during a school excursion when Javed Khan, a 27-year-old caterer, committed a heinous act by molesting young girls on the bus. He has been apprehended, and a case under POCSO has been registered against him. The school administration is also taking strict action against the teachers who were present on the bus during the incident.
This incident surfaced when some girls reported it to their parents, triggering protests against the school administration. MNS leader Avinash Jadhav and former Shiv Sena Nagarsevak Sanjay Bhoir were also present at the school during the protests. In response, parents collectively decided that their children would not attend school until the management took decisive action against the principal. (Regrettably, such a decision falls on parents! – Editor)
Editorial Perspective
The complete responsibility of the students during the trip lies with the teacher. When an individual dares to commit such a reprehensible act in the presence of the teacher, it should be considered as a failure on the part of the teacher. |
