Working from home does not boost individual and organisational growth

Mumbai – During the COVID pandemic many institutions and businesses gave their employees the facility to work from home. This facility is still being given by some organisations. This type of work ethic can work against the organisation and the employees. This has been proved many times. TCS‘s CEO K Kirthivasan has appealed for this ‘work from home’ method to be stopped. He was speaking at a ‘NASSCOM” seminar when he said working from home does not promote the collaboration and camaraderie that is fostered through office interactions.
Kirthivasan added
1. ‘TCS’ gives great importance to establishing collaboration, camaraderie, and friendship among its employees. If the workers do not come to the office, then how will they imbibe and ingrain the company’s culture and values ?
2. The employees learn how to conduct and perform by observing how the officers and senior employees work. ‘TCS’ does not support ‘work from home’; as the traditional office environment is the most effective method.
‘TCS’ employees have been warned to come to the office
During the Corona pandemic ‘TCS’ had given the employees the facility of working from home. However many employees did not return to the office even after things became normal. Hence the company has given these employees a final warning to stop working from home and return to the office.
