1. When Pooja told her family about her dream, they ignored her. Pooja stopped eating for the next 10 days, due to which, the family had to believe in Pooja’s words.

2. Believing in Pooja’s words, her father Vinod Singh along with Pooja, reached near the dargah along with other villagers. Pooja drew a line near the spot where she had seen the murti in her dream. This place was 30 metres away from the dargah. After worshiping, excavation work began. On getting this information, the manager of the
dargah, Mohammad Amir nicknamed Guddu Mia, reached there, and opposed the excavation. A prolonged argument continued while the excavation was ongoing. After digging around 3 feet, an ancient 1 foot tall murti of Shrikrushna was found.

3. Vinod Singh installed the murti in his own farm, 2.5 km away from the dargah. People started worshiping the murti. Due to the crowding for taking darshan, additional Police has been deployed for security. Deputy Magistrate Anjali Gangwar said that the archaeological significance of this murti will be investigated.

4. Vikas Khurana, Head of S S college’s History Department, said that the copper murti appears to be from the Gupta period. Such murtis were being made in the 7th century. Everything will become clear after the archaeological investigation.

Editorial Perspective

It should be investigated if a Hindu temple stood earlier in the place of this dargah. Devout Hindu organisations must take the initiative in this matter.
