Ranchi (Jharkhand) – In the outrageous incidents that took place in Jharkhand and Bihar, religious fanatic Muslims were seen attacking the Idol immersion procession of Shri Saraswati Devi. The incidents took place as the processions approached the mosques and were then attacked by religious fanatic Muslims.
1. Muslims oppose processions in Jharkhand
Stone pelting on procession in Chogakhar village
Muslims resisted the procession when it approached the mosque in Chogakhar village in Jharkhand’s Deoghar District on 16th February. The protestors included Shahabuddin Ansari, Habib, Azad and many others. They asked to turn off the loudspeakers in the procession. The Hindus continued the procession. The Police asked the Hindus to proceed with the procession quickly. At the same time, stone pelting began on the procession from the houses around the mosque. Among the stone pelters were children, old people, and women. (Please note that these Muslims consider themselves unsafe in India ! – Editor) 2 Policemen and 8 others were injured while trying to stop the Muslims. The Administration stopped the procession and turned off the loudspeakers. The situation was brought under control when an additional Police force arrived. At present, the Police are deployed there. The Police have identified the accused and legal action is being taken against them.
Village Sarpanch Vinod Yadav said that to suppress this matter, the Administration has registered a case against Hindus and my name has also been included in it. Muslims cause chaos in Ranchi
A dispute broke out near a mosque during the immersion of an Idol on 16th February at Nagri in Ranchi. The religious fanatic Muslims then pelted stones at the procession, attacked it with sticks and also opened fire. Police have not confirmed reports of firing. More than 12 people were injured in this incident. Lathicharge was also carried out at that time. A curfew has been imposed there at present.
2. Tensed situation in Bihar too
Hindus retaliate in Tahbalpur Mandal Tola
A procession of Hindus was pelted with stones while passing through a Muslim-majority complex in Tahbalpur Mandal Tola in Bhagalpur, Bihar. The Idol of the Deity was vandalised during this attack. Enraged by this, the Hindus tried to retaliate. As soon as the Police received information about the violence, they reached the spot and controlled the situation.
Stone pelting from the roof of a mosque in Darbhanga
Religious fanatics also pelted stones from the roof of a mosque on a procession in the Bahera Benipur area of Darbhanga, Bihar. Stones were pelted even though the Police Station is close to where the incident occurred. (This is the result of a lack of fear of the Police among the religious fanatics ! – Editor) More than 18 people were injured in this. Police brought the situation under control after some time. Religious fanatic Muslims had attacked a procession in the Kasai Tola area as well just a day before this incident.
