The survey discovered 55 Idols and 93 coins
The ASI found 55 Idols during the survey. A total of 15 Shivalinga and 93 coins of various eras have been found at many places including the walls of Gyanvapi. 259 objects of domestic use including various metals and terracotta were found along with the stone Idols. A stone inscribed with Shriram’s name has also been found. A shattered precious metal, equivalent in size to a valuable emerald, has been discovered beneath the primary dome. Technology assisted examination has determined that a subset of the remains dates back 2,000 years.
The survey team included two Muslims
In the team of ASI surveying Gyanavapi, 2 Muslim experts, Dr Izhar Alam Hashmi and Dr Aftab Hussain, were also included. The report states that extensive research, including scientific, survey, architectural, archaeological, and artistic analysis of inscriptions, artworks, and Idols, confirms the existence of a large temple in the past.
