Derogatory remarks made in a skit

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) – An assistant registrar and a Court keeper of Kerala High Court were placed under suspension pending enquiry on Saturday, following a complaint that there were derogatory references and criticism against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his supporters in a stage show held on Friday at the High Court auditorium in connection with the Republic Day celebrations. Those suspended by the Court’s Registrar General P Krishna Kumar are assistant registrar Sudhish T A and Court keeper Sudheesh PM.
The ‘Legal Cell’ and ‘Bar Council of India’ have complained about the play to the Chief Justice, Chief Justice of Kerala High Court, Union Law Minister, and the Prime Minister. Sudhish T A is reported to have written the dialogues of the skit
These were the insulting dialogues
- The character in the play that is similar to Prime Minister Modi says, ‘If I say that something has a medicinal value, then my followers will not hesitate to eat cow dung. That is my strength’.
- Another dialogue was, ‘Even though I leave my family to go around the world, people are not grateful towards me.’
