The case of Congress workers breaking the barricades in Guwahati
Guwahati (Assam) – On 23rd January. In Guwahati, the Police had put up barricades to prevent “Bharat Jodo Nyay yatra from entering Guwahati but the Congress workers broke them. In his response to this incident, Sarma said, “We will arrest Rahul Gandhi only after the Lok Sabha elections, if he is arrested now, it will become a political issue.
Sarma directed the Director-General of Police to register a case against Rahul Gandhi and Congress leaders. Accordingly, FIR is lodged against Gandhi, KC Venugopal and other congress leaders.
