Pakistan retaliates with air strikes on Iran

Baloch Liberation Army’s 7 bases destroyed

Islamabad (Pakistan) / Tehran (Iran) – Iran attacked two bases of an Islamist militant organisation, ‘Jaish al-Adl’ in Baluchistan, (Pakistan) and destroyed them with missiles and drones. Pakistan retaliated with air attacks on seven bases of the Baloch Liberation Army in the Saravan area of Iran. Pakistan has not officially declared anything about these attacks. After the attack by Iran, the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian had discussions with his Pakistani counterpart, Jalil Abbas Jilani through phone. India’s External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar had visited Iran a day before Iran attacked Pakistan. Pakistan expelled Iran’s envoy after the attack and called back its diplomat from Iran. ‘Jaish al-Adl’, a militant organisation supported by Pakistan, is active in Iran
while the Baloch Liberation Army is fighting for separate Balochistan and keeps attacking Pakistan’s army.

India indirectly supports Iran

Indian Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, said about the conflict between Pakistan and Iran that India understands a country taking action in self-defence. It is an issue between Pakistan and Iran. We have always openly stated our views on terrorism and that there cannot be any compromise on this issue.

USA criticises Iran

The USA has criticised Iran’s attack. Mathew Miller, the State Department spokesperson, said that Iran has violated the sovereign borders of three of its neighbouring countries in the last couple of days.

Don’t escalate the tension – China

China urged both Pakistan and Iran to exercise restraint and avoid escalation in tension since it would result in loss to both countries.(Why China doesn’t look at its own behaviour with other countries before giving such advice to other nations ? – Editor)
