It also has a direct bearing on India’s energy and economic interests. India has always been against terrorism. Civilians should be protected in any tense situation’, India’s External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar said while on a visit to Iran. He met Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. India and Iran held bilateral discussions on several issues such as the war in Afghanistan, Gaza, and Ukraine. Trade through the Red Sea has been hampered due to attacks by Houthi rebels. Besides this, the Chabahar port in Iran was also discussed in the talks.
