Swami Prasad Maurya
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) – Swami Prasad Maurya, a senior leader and former Cabinet Minister of Samajwadi Party (SP) has once again triggered controversy through his recent statement. He justified the then State Government’s order to open fire at ‘Kar-sevak’ since it was done to protect the law and order. He was speaking as the Chief Guest at Bauddha Janajagruti Conference held at Ganeshpur by ‘Bauddha Ekata Samiti’.
1.Swami Prasad Maurya said that unruly elements committed large-scale vandalism without judicial or administrative intervention in Ayodhya; therefore, the Mulayam Singh Government ordered the Police to open fire at ‘Kar-sevaks’ to protect the Constitution and law. (Did the then SP Government promptly take similar action against rioting religious fanatics or the terrorists involved in suicide bombing ? – Editor)
