Two Muslim women from Varanasi to bring ‘Ramjyoti’ from Ayodhya to Varanasi’s Muslim localities

These women believe that Shriram is their ancestor

Varanasi (UP) – Two Muslim women, Nazneen Ansari and Najma Parvin, from Varanasi, will bring ‘Ramjyoti’ from Ayodhya and take it through the Muslim localities of Varanasi to spread the message that Deity Shriram is their ancestor and DNA of every Indian is the same. Mahant Shambhu Devacharya will hand over the Ramjyoti to them in Ayodhya. Along with this, they will also carry Ayodhya’s soil and holy water of the Sarayu River. They believe that Deity Shriram is their ancestor.

Nazneen Ansari has translated Shriramcharitmanas and Hanuman Chalisa into Urdu

Mahant Balak Das of Patalpuri Muth is her Guru. She is engaged in spreading devotion for Shriram through ‘Ram Path’, a right-wing organisation engaged in social and religious work centred around devotion to Shriram. Najma has a PhD from Banaras Hindu University. She has been a Shriram devotee for past 17 years.

An individual can change his religion but not the ancestors

Nazneen said, “We are happy that Shriram temple has been constructed in Ayodhya. Shriram is our ancestor. A person can change religion but not the ancestors. Just as Mecca is for Muslims, Ayodhya is a holy place for Hindus and those who believe in Indian culture.”
