The Union Government is gearing up to free temples from State control; Maharashtra should also take action – Suresh Chavhanke, Chief Editor, Sudarshan News

Mumbai – “From Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech in Tamil Nadu, it is evident that the Union Government is preparing to liberate temples from Government control”, said Suresh Chavhanke, Chief Editor of Sudarshan News, while speaking to Sanatan Prabhat’s correspondent on 5th January. He advocated for quick action in this regard and urged the Maharashtra Government to act similarly.

Chavhanke further stated, “Atheists who have no faith in Deities are the ones creating disorder, corruption and misusing temple funds. This is largely due to the Government’s control of temples. Hence, the Maharashtra Government should free temples from such control. Sudarshan News has been raising voices against the Government’s control of temples for the last 20 years. Due to Governmental control, temple funds are often used for non-religious activities. Every year, temples receive 1,60,000 crore rupees, which is more than the monthly GST revenue of the Indian Government. Instead of proper utilisation, the funds are misused. The Union Government should take action in this matter and Hindus should follow up.”

Why didn’t Sharad Pawar object to Jitendra Awhad’s anti-Hindu statements ? – Chavhanke

“The statement by Jitendra Awhad claiming that ‘Deity Shri Ram was a non-vegetarian’ is a serious and unpardonable offence. Such offenders should be arrested immediately and punished severely. We worship and consider Shriram, who consumed fruits and tubers, as our Deity. Not just in India but all around the world, Shriram has millions of devotees. Awhad’s statements have hurt the religious sentiments of these devotees. When Jitendra Awhad made these statements, Sharad Pawar was also present. Why did he not object then or till now ? Why his party did not take any action against him ? Pawar’s silence on the disrespect towards Shriram is also a sin. Awhad and his supporters are all offenders and action should be taken against them,” demanded Suresh Chavhanke at this time.
