Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami

New Delhi – “More than 5,000 acres of land in Uttarakhand was grabbed through ‘Land Jihad’, all of which has been freed by our Government. This action is still underway”, informed the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami. He was speaking at a programme organised here.

He added, “In Devbhoomi (land of the Deities) Uttarakhand, we have taken on many challenging tasks with the grace of Shriram. We have removed the encroachments by taking strict actions. We are making all kinds of efforts to maintain the original form of this Devbhoomi. Until May 2023, encroachment was recorded at more than 3,793 places through Land Jihad in the State. Among these, unauthorised Muslim graves (Mazars) were the highest in number.

Editorial Perspective

If the Uttarakhand Government can do this, why can’t other Governments do the same ? Even Union Government owned lands have been encroached throughout the country. It is necessary to free them all !
