Minister of External Affairs Dr S Jaishankar’s strong clarification

New Delhi – ‘India is no longer in the mood of offering the other cheek when slapped on one. It is prepared to respond accordingly, stated India’s Minister of External Affairs Dr S Jaishankar in a programme.
He said, “What has changed in this country today, I think the Mumbai 26/11, to me, was the ‘tipping point’. I know that people who said, oh, we had a very smart strategy of turning the other cheek. I don’t think that’s just the mood of the nation. If somebody is practising cross-border terrorism, you must respond, you must extract and impose a cost out there”.
