Dictator of North Korea, Kim Jong Un threatens use of nuke if provoked

South Korea and US are holding meetings on defence strategies

Pyongyang (North Korea) – Dictator of North Korea, Kim Jong Un is threatening with ‘more offensive action’ a day after testing its most powerful ballistic missile Hwasong-18 on 18th December. Kim threatened the use of nukes and said that his country has a policy of not hesitating to launch strike on its rivals if provoked. He has claimed that South Korea and US are holding meetings on defence strategies.

Last year many foreign experts had said that North Korea did not have functioning nuclear missiles so it is unlikely that they would use nukes.

Kim praised troops involved in its recent intercontinental ballistic missile test. He congratulated officials and troops on the successful launch of Hwasong-18 missile.

North Korea has test fired about 100 missiles since last two years

North Korea further adopted a constitutional amendment to enshrine its policy on nuclear forces in September 2022, with Kim pledging to accelerate production of nuclear weapons. Since 2022 North Korea has test fired about 100 missiles.
