Dawood Ibrahim poisoned by unknown person in Karachi

New Delhi – Notorious Jihadi terrorist Dawood Ibrahim has been poisoned and admitted to a hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. His condition is reportedly critical. The Pakistani media have broadcasted the news in this regard; however, it has not been confirmed yet by the Pakistani or Indian investigating agencies. Internet service has been shut down in Pakistan after the outbreak of this news. Therefore, it is being argued that the news could be true. The incident of poisoning reportedly happened two days ago. Several Police security personnel are deployed outside the hospital where he is admitted. He is reportedly the only patient kept on the top floor of the hospital for security reasons. Only his family members are allowed to visit him. The Mumbai Police are keeping an eye on the matter. Efforts are on to gather more information from Dawood’s relatives residing in Mumbai.

Dawood Ibrahim is a fugitive Indian terrorist. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a reward of Rs 25 lakh to whoever provides information about him. The United Nations has also declared Dawood as a ‘global terrorist’. Dawood had carried out serial bomb blasts in Mumbai in 1993 in which 257 people were killed and 700 were injured.

Pakistan is now in a tricky situation – Advocate Ujjwal Nikam

Regarding the news, Advocate Ujjwal Nikam said, “Pakistan is now in a tricky situation; because till now everyone from Pakistan including Mr Pervez Musharraf had strongly claimed that Dawood Ibrahim did not live in Pakistan. This is where Pakistan’s real difficulty is ! Now Pakistan cannot claim that Dawood was poisoned by India as they earlier claimed Dawood never lived in Pakistan”.

Suspicion of a conspiracy by Pakistani military and ISI

For the past few months, anti-India Jihadi terrorists have been shot dead or poisoned in Pakistan. There is no information about the mastermind behind this. Noone has been arrested in this case. Therefore, it is suspected that Pakistan’s military and intelligence agency ISI are behind these executions. It is being said that since Pakistan cannot afford to feed and protect these terrorists, Pakistan itself is killing them. It is being claimed that Pakistan can kill other notorious terrorists too. So far, no statement has been made by the Indian Intelligence agencies in this regard.
