Bhagyanagar (Telangana) – All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Akbaruddin Owaisi openly threatened a Police Officer in a rally when he signalled Owaisi to conclude his speech on time. During his address, Owaisi asked, “Do you think I have become weak after facing knives and bullets ? There is still a lot of courage in me. There are still five minutes left. I will talk for five more minutes and nobody has the guts to stop me.” He addressed a poll rally in the background of Telangana State Legislative Assembly elections. Akbaruddin Owaisi is contesting the election from the Chandrayangutta constituency. After threatening the Police, he confirmed with the audience that what he spoke was right. He said that if he just signalled the crowd, the Police would have to leave. He also asked the Police whether they should be driven away. Furthermore, he stated that the Police went to his rally, to weaken, and pressure him.
Editorial Perspectives
- Earlier, Akbaruddin Owaisi had said that the majority population in India would be eliminated if Police were taken off duty for 15 minutes. He has once again shown his mentality. Will he be punished at least now ?
- Police are always filing cases against devout Hindu activists, accusing them of making ‘hate speech’. Now, will they file a case against Akbaruddin Owaisi for his ‘hate speech’ ?
