Bihar Govt cancels school holiday for Chhath Puja

Nitish Kumar Govt issues an anti-Hindu Fatwa

Patna/Patliputra (Bihar) – The Nitish Kumar Government has cancelled school holidays for one of the important festivals of Bihar, Chhath Puja. BJP has criticised it by saying, “Nitish Kumar and Tejaswi Yadav who participate in the Iftar party, have decided to destroy Bihar’s culture. Those who disregard Sanatan Dharma will meet their doom because of the curse of lakhs of chhath devotees.”

Nitish Kumar-led Govt has issued an order for the newly appointed teachers to be on duty. The order says, ‘During the period of Chhath Puja, all schools will remain open.’

The reason given for the cancellation of holidays is that the training of the newly appointed teachers is yet to be completed. Their training will take place between 20th November to 2nd December. The worship of Sun Deity for Chhath Puja (offering Ardhya/Argya) will be performed on 19th November in the evening and on 20th November in the morning.

Earlier, the Bihar Government had cancelled the Raksha Bandhan school holiday and reduced 3 days from the Navratri school holiday and now the Guru Nanak Jayanti festival on the 27th of November will also not have a holiday.
