Laxmanpuri (Uttar Pradesh) – “For the partition of India and Pakistan, not Mohammad Ali Jinnah, but the Hindu Mahasabha was responsible. People demanding Hindu Rashtra are enemies of the Nation”, such an utterly unacceptable statement was issued by Swami Prasad Mourya, a leader of the Samajwadi Party. He made this offensive remark during a conversation with the media in Banda, Uttar Pradesh
Maurya went on to assert, “The Indian Constitution says that there cannot be any discrimination on the basis of faith, caste, gender or birthplace. If someone is demanding ‘Hindu Rashtra’, then won’t other people also make similar demands ? Earlier, Hindu Mahasabha had demanded Hindu Rashtra resulting in India and Pakistan partition. (It is important to acknowledge that the partition of India was primarily influenced by figures like Jinnah and Gandhi; those who dispute this historical fact are distorting history- Editor)
Even earlier, Maurya had made anti-Hindu statements. In August 2023, Maurya had said that, “Hindu Dharma is not a religion but a hoax. The roots of Brahminism are very deep and the reason for all the disparity is also Brahminism”.
