PM Modi has darshan of Mt Adi Kailash at Uttarakhand

Performs puja at ‘Parvati Kund’

Pithoragarh (Uttarakhand) – Prime Minister Narendra Modi had darshan of Mount Adi Kailash from Pithoragarh. He also performed puja at ‘Parvati Kund’ near Mt Kailash. The China border is only 20 km away from this place. Narendra Modi is the first Prime Minister to visit Mt Adi Kailash on the Indo-China border in Uttarakhand. Mt Kailash can be clearly seen from Lipulekh Pass, which is at a height of 18,000 ft in Pithoragarh District. The aerial distance between the two mountains is 50 km. PM Modi is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for several projects and inaugurate schemes worth Rs 4,200 crore in the State.

 Mt Adi Kailash can be seen from India

Mount Adi Kailash can be seen from the old Lipulekh Peak, touching Indo-China border. People had to obtain visas from the External Ministry to go to Adi Kailash, and they had to go to China via Dharchula, however, it will now be possible to have darshan of Mt Adi Kailash from the old Lipulekh Peak or Pass.
