Ahmedabad (Gujarat) – “Garba is an occasion to offer worship to Goddess. Some `jihadis’ misuse such occasions. I would like to appeal to all the organisers of garba that pandal-walas (those who construct pandals), catering service people or members of security services should not be Muslim, and they should allow entry to any individual only after checking ID card and Aadhaar card”, such a suggestion has been made by Surendra Jain, Joint General Secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Every year on the occasion of Navratri, many Muslims sneak into garba events and try to lure Hindu girls and women into ‘Love Jihad’ trap.

1. This year also, devout Hindus of Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad will be present at the garba programme venues and make sure Muslim youths do not enter the programme.
2. In addition, the youths participating in the garba will be applied ‘tilak’ on their forehead, cow urine will be sprinkled on them, and Kalava will be tied to their hands. Entry will be denied to those who are intoxicated.
3. Jain also said that since 2015, such measures have been taken to prevent those entering the programme with malicious intentions.
4. In the last few years, VHP and Bajrang Dal has taken out 16 Shaurya Jagran Yatras in Gujarat, held more than 1,000 meetings and gave ‘Trishul Diksha’ to more than 18,000 activists. These efforts aim to raise awareness among Hindu youth and women, with more than 7,00,000 people being engaged in this campaign.
