8 Sikh youths arrested in Canada for illegal activities

Ottawa (Canada) – Canadian Police have arrested 8 Sikh youths in Bampton, Ontario. It is alleged that these youth were involved in illegal activities. Reportedly, the arrests have taken place due to the strained relations between India and Canada. There has been tension between the two countries since the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on 18th June.

The reason behind India-Canada tensions

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has accused India of involvement in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. After this allegation, the tension between the two countries increased. India has strongly denied Canada’s allegations. India has expressed concerns over the security of its diplomats and embassies within Canada.
