US praises Indian External Affairs Minister

Washington (US) – The US administration officials has heaped praise on Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar. Senior officials of the Biden administration have called him the ‘architect of modern India-US relations’. These officials said that he has played a vital role in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

Dr Jaishankar’s 9-day US tour ended on 1st October. On the last day, India’s Ambassador to the US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu organised a programme in honour of Dr Jaishankar. The event was attended by notable figures from the Biden administration, including US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, Deputy Secretary of State Richard Verma, President Biden’s domestic policy advisor Neera Tanden, Director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy Dr Rahul Gupta, and Director of the National Science Foundation Dr Sethuraman Panchanathan. These officials praised Dr Jaishankar as the ‘architect of modern India-US relations’.

Met with several top US officials
The video includes highlights of Jaishankar’s discussions with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin, Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo and Trade Representative Katherine Tai among other officials. Dr. Jaishankar discussed ‘India-US Bilateral Defence Cooperation’ and ‘Global Security Challenges’ with Austin. During this tour, Dr Jaishankar made a clear statement on various platforms, accusing Canada of permitting its land to be used by Khalistani terrorists.
