Buddhist family installing Shri Ganesh’s Idol in their house opposed in Navi Mumbai

Nerul (Navi Mumbai) – A video is viral on social media showing the people of the Buddhist community in Nerul opposing a Buddhist woman who installed Ganapati in her home. This woman is seen repeatedly saying, ‘We installed the Ganapati for our daughter’s wish and happiness’. This woman was seen bravely telling the people who were opposing, ‘You cannot force anyone. We revere all Deities and religions. The earlier generation was different. But is it not our job to change? The change does not come with one person, it has to happen with all changes. Instead, she is seen suggesting ‘Let us have a community programme.’

In the video, the people opposing the woman are seen arguing with her for a long time; but she was firm and stuck to her point of view. At last, the people left after warning the woman about the consequences of her action.

Bhim Sena’s National President Sridhar Narayan Salve posted the video on Facebook and showed his support to those opposing the woman.

The video has divided social media into two groups. One group praises the woman and supports her individual freedom, while the other opposes the woman.

Some years ago the renowned comedy actor Bhau Kadam was also opposed when he installed a Ganesh Idol.
