Chennai – ‘A ‘young child’ is being hounded only because he made a remark on Sanatan Dharma. His ancestors had also spoken about Sanatan Dharma. Periyar, the founder of DMK (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam – Dravidian Progressive Federation) had also expressed his thoughts on Sanatan Dharma’, said actor Kamal Haasan in defence of Udhayanidhi, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s son and a minister. Lately, Udhayanidhi is constantly speaking of destroying the Sanatan Dharma. (Hindus have in the past opposed those speaking against the Sanatan Dharma. Now also, such people will face opposition in a legitimate way – Editor).

Kamal Haasan further said,

Once upon a time, Periyar was staying in a temple in Varanasi and worshiping there. He used to apply tilak on his forehead. He later renounced all these. This shows how much anger he had towards the Sanatan Dharma. (We learn from Periyar’s life, that he renounced Sanatan Dharma due to inappropriate behaviour of some of the followers of Sanatan Dharma. This shows that he did not study Sanatan Dharma himself; in turn did not understand the greatness of it ! – Editor)

Periyar realised that serving people is the greatest service. He lived for the society till the end of his life. (It is equally true that Periyar continued to spread hatred at an ideological level in the society while living for society ! – Editor)

Periyar cannot be claimed by DMK or any other political party; because Periyar is revered throughout Tamil Nadu. (It should be noted that Periyar is not revered throughout Tamil Nadu; he is revered by the haters of Sanatan Dharma only ! – Editor)
