United Hindus to protect the temple
Suryapet (Telangana) – The famous temple of Bala Ugra Narasimha Swamy is located in Yerravaram village in Suryapet District. More than a lakh devotees visit this temple on Fridays and Saturdays; therefore, the income of the temple has gone up. A local Muslim named Surepally Hussain complained to the Office of Charity Commissioner a few days ago that the temple was being mismanaged. The Office of Charity Commissioner, therefore, issued a notice to the temple management on 2nd August 2023 seeking an explanation, along with a warning that the temple would be taken over in case an explanation was not submitted within fifteen days.
United Hindus to protect the temple
Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) came to know about the notice. HJS united all pro-Hindu organisations and submitted the explanation to the Charity Commissioner on 17th August 2023. It is stated in the explanation that the notice issued by the Office of Charity Commissioner was illegal, and they cannot take over the temple’s management in this manner. All Hindus are against the notice. On 18th August 2023, members of HJS and pro-Hindu organisations met President Jagannath of the temple management in Yerravaram. They advised him that the temple should not be handed over to the Office of Charity Commissioner under any circumstances, and assured him of their support. The temple’s Trust was formed on the occasion. The Office of Charity Commissioner was sent a reply through this Trust for not interfering in this temple’s matters.
Editorial Viewpoint
How many Hindus complain to the Office of Charity Commissioner, of mismanagement of mosques and churches ? It won’t be surprising if Hindus also now start thinking on similar lines against mosques and churches. |
