Congress is now saying ‘Garv se kaho hum Hindu hain’ : Congress leader and former Governor Qureshi

Congress leader and ex-Governor Qureshi’s criticism

Congress leader and former Governor Aziz Qureshi

Bhopal (MP) – Ahead of the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, politics in the State has heated up. Owing to this, senior Congress leader and former Governor Aziz Qureshi has made controversial statements. He has expressed displeasure over the steps taken by Congress leader Kamal Nath and the Congress party towards Hindutva. He has criticised Congress for leaning towards Hindutva. His speech at the minority convention held in Vidisha on the occasion of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s birthday has gone viral on social media. He said, ‘Congress people who are the heirs of Nehru are going on religious pilgrimage today. They are saying ‘Garva se kaho hum Hindu hain’. They install Idols of Deities in Congress offices. They raise slogans Jai Ganga Mata, Jai Narmada Mata, which is shameful’.

‘Muslims have not worn bangles in their hands’

Aziz Qureshi said, ‘You burn our houses and shops, you insult our mothers and sisters. (This is called hypocrisy ! It is a fact that religious fanatic Muslims burn the houses of Hindus, lure Hindu girls through love jihad, and convert them. – Editor) We will tolerate up to a certain limit, but when push comes to shove, the Muslims will not be wearing bangles in their hands. There is no problem even if 2 crore out of 22 crore Muslims die’.

Are Hindus prepared to defend themselves against such threats ?

Muslims are not your slaves

Aziz further said that we want to tell all the political parties of the country including the Congress that Muslims are not your slaves. You don’t give them jobs, you don’t recruit them into the Police, Army, then why should Muslims vote for you ? (What is wrong if someone asks you whether you are citizen of this country, or go to live in Pakistan if you do not want to vote ? – Editor)

Editorial Viewpoints

  • This is a tight slap in the face to Congress, which has been appeasing Muslims since its formation.
  • The majority of Muslims are not satisfied no matter how many facilities and privileges are provided to them. The parties who indulge in appeasing them should take a note of this.
