New Delhi – On Sunday (13th August), the National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out raids at various locations in Kerala’s Malappuram District. The raids were carried out at four residences of former members of the banned Islamist terror outfit, Popular Front of India (PFI) in the Tirur and Tanur areas of Malappuram District. Even the main office of PFI was raided.
This organisation was banned in September 2022 by the Union Government. Many offices and the houses of the activists of this organisation were raided and the activists were arrested. Many activists are charged.

The banned organisation PFI is still continuing with its activities. Hence, instead of only banning, it should be wiped off completely from the roots. |
