Bharat and its Lok Sabha is with the mothers and sisters of Manipur

  • The confidence exuded by Prime Minister Modi
  • The no confidence motion defeated in the Lok Sabha
  • The Congress  leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury suspended

New Delhi – The Sunshine of peace will definitely shine in the violence torn state of Manipur. The State and the Centre assure that the rioters will be severely punished. Manipur’s Mothers and sisters should be assured that the Nation and its Loksabha are with them in their travails. ‘I assure the citizens of Manipur that once again Manipur shall march forth on its path of development at a faster pace’ said the Prime Minister Modi on the evening of the 10th of August in the Loksabha. The opposition had brought a motion of no confidence against the government on the subject of the violence in Manipur. The Prime Minister was speaking in response to that motion.

During the Prime Minister’s speech in the Lok Sabha the Congress and most of the opposition staged a walkout.  After the completion of the Prime Minister’s response to the No-Confidence motion a voice vote was taken on the motion. The ‘nays’ were louder and so the Speaker of the Loksabha Om Birla declared that the No-Confidence motion was rejected. At the same time Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury was suspended for unruly conduct, on the suspension motion brought forth by the Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi. Prime Minister Modi’s speech in response to the motion was the longest in the Parliament till date. He spoke for 2 hours and 14 minutes.

The Prime Minister spoke about the following points

1. The Indian Government has spent Lakhs of Crores of Rupees in the past 9 years, for the development of the North-East. The North-East of India will soon become the epic centre of South East Asia.

2. Manipur which is the centre of faith and devotion, and a state that made numerous sacrifices for the Country, fell prey to separatists during the period when Congress was in power. Congress was the mother of the unrest and agitation in Manipur. During the Congress rule everything in the State used to happen as per the wish of the separatists. Gandhiji’s picture could not be put up in the Government offices. Temples had to be closed after 4pm. The army had to guard them such that the temples could be secure. Congress’s sensitivity and concern is limited to a particular group of people.

3. In the year 2018 the opposition had moved a no confidence motion against us as well. That proposal was rejected in the house. But the people of the country, in the elections of 2019, through their votes showed their ‘no confidence’ in the opposition.  Hence the no confidence motion moved by the opposition is a blessing for us.

4. When the opposition was staging a walkout of the Loksabha, the Prime Minister said, ‘the opposition ticks us off; but does not have the courage to hear us.  Spreading lies, using abhorrent abusive language and then scooting is their practice. The country cannot have any great expectations from them.’

The Congress is responsible for dividing Mother India into 3 parts

The Prime Minister responding to Congress party’s Rahul Gandhi’s statement, ‘the Prime Minister is responsible for the murder of Bharat Mata in Manipur’ said the person who has been speaking about ‘the murder of Democracy’ and  ‘the murder of the Constitution’ has now begun to blabber about ‘the murder of Bharat Mata’. In 1947 Bharat Mata was divided into 3 parts and the Congress was responsible for that. These are people who rallied in support of the people who cried ‘Bharat you will be cut to pieces’. This very same Congress supported the demand of cutting off the Siliguri Corridor’; which joins the North east to the rest of India. The history of Congress has been that of breaking the Country.
