Former Pakistani PM Imran Khan
Islamabad (Pakistan) – Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, who has been sent to an eight-day custody of the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB), informed a Court during a hearing that he fears for his life and that the current Shehbaz Sharif Government in the country was trying to take his life inside the jail. Imran Khan said in Court, “I have not been to the washroom in 24 hours.” He further added, “They give an injection and you slowly die.”
There is a possibility of Imran Khan getting imprisoned for the next 14 days. The Leader of Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Asad Umar and some other leaders also have been arrested. All of them were trying to meet Khan in the Court campus.
PTI Leader Shah Mahmood Kureshi said that they were not allowed to meet Khan but they will keep struggling.
About 4,000 of Khan’s supporters had stormed the official residence of the top regional commander in Lahore, smashing windows and doors, damaging furniture and staging a sit-in as troops there retreated to avoid violence after the arrest of Imran Khan.
