Islamic outfit tears flex boards of the film ‘The Kerala Story’ in Chennai

Raised slogans like Nara E Takbeer (Allah is great), Allahu Akbar (Allah is the greatest)

Chennai – The film ‘The Kerala Story’ which was released recently is facing opposition at some places. A video allegedly from Chennai is going viral on social media that shows a few people tearing the flex boards of the movie displayed outside a cinema hall. They are also raising slogans like Nara E Takbeer, Allahu Akbar. They are seen holding Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam’s (TMMK) flag. TMKK is an Islamic outfit from Tamil Nadu. In another video, the workers of 5 organisations are seen tearing the posters of the film. The video is allegedly from Coimbatore city. The Islamic outfits have been opposing the film even before it was released. An outfit called the ‘Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind’ had requested the Supreme Court to stop the release of this film.

A social media user has reacted to the video by asking, ‘If this film is against the Islamic State; and if the Islam and the Islamic State have no connection, then why are people getting angry with the film ?’

Editorial Viewpoint

It is expected that radical Muslims and their organisations would be enraged when the severity of the ‘Islamic State’ and ‘Love Jihad’ are highlighted. One cannot expect the DMK Government of Tamil Nadu, which plays the politics of Muslim appeasement, to take action against the culprits. It will rather give them free hand. Hindus must pressurise the Government in a legal manner to stop such incidents.
