
Bengaluru (Karnataka) – The Congress legislature party leader performed puja of his Family Deity Siddarameshwara at the temple in his native village of Siddaramanahundi, and also visited Sri Ram Temple before filing his nomination papers. He also visited the famous Chamundeshwari temple on the Chamundi hills in Mysuru. Siddaramaiah tweeted, “I went to Siddarameshwara Temple and Sri Ram Temple in my hometown and took the darshan”.

Some Twitter users have criticised this drama. One said, “Those who always been saying that the faith in God is foolishness, now think that Shri Ram is the saviour”. Another Twitter user named Prashant tweeted, “You have always criticised God, kumkum on the forehead as superstition and you don’t believe in these things. Then why you are going to the temple now ?”
