Amritsar (Punjab) – Balwinder Gill, Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) SC Morcha General Secretary was shot outside his house. Gill was at his home in Jyotisar, Jandiala Guru when two bike-borne assailants arrived and opened fire at him. The bullet hit his chin, injuring his face; his lower bone is also fractured. The attackers fled the scene immediately. This incident took place in Jandiala Guru 25 km away from Amritsar.
