Five Indian Air Force personnel martyred in aircraft crash

Guwahati (Assam) – The Indian Air Force stated that an AN-32 aircraft crashed while landing at the Jorhat Air Force Station, resulting in the death of five personnel. The deceased included Squadron Leader Prashant Singh, Flight Lieutenant Shubham Kumar, Sergeant Jitendra Sharma, Agniveer Vayu Khemaram Kumawat, and Agniveer Vayu Danish Alam. A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to investigate the cause of the crash.

A similar incident had occurred on 5 March, when an Indian Air Force Sukhoi ‘Su-30MKI’ fighter aircraft crashed in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district, killing both pilots on board.
