US protected Indian vessels from Iranian attacks: Donald Trump

  • Trump’s shameless statement despite three Indians being killed in an American attack

  • India continues its protest

Washington DC (USA) – US President Donald Trump made a bizarre statement that the United States had protected Indian vessels from Iranian attacks. Recently, three Indian citizens were killed in an American attack on the commercial vessel MT Settebello in waters near Oman. Following the incident, India strongly condemned the United States. It was in response to this criticism that Trump made the above statement.

Trump further stated that Iran had attempted to attack vessels carrying Indian crew members passing through the Strait of Hormuz using drones, but that the US military had thwarted those attempts.

In recent days, Indian crew members have reportedly been significantly affected by attacks on the commercial vessels MT Marivex, MT Settebello and MT Jalveer in the Gulf of Oman.

Iran rejects the claim

Iran rejected Trump’s claim and clarified that it had not carried out any drone attack on any vessel carrying Indian nationals.

Editorial Perspective

How will India teach a lesson to Trump, who, after causing the deaths of three Indians, is now making such blatantly false claims?
