Sahibganj (Jharkhand) – The religious fanatic Muslims pelted stones at the procession of the Devi Idol during Chaitra Navratri, when it was being taken for immersion. Sahibganj Sub-divisional Police Officer Rajendra Kumar Dubey and some Hindus were injured and a two-wheeler was torched during this incident.

According to the local media, when the procession was passing through the city’s Railway lines area, some fanatic Muslims threw stones at the procession from roof-tops. Deputy Commissioner Ramniwas Yadav, Superintendent Anuranjan Kispotta, Sub-divisional Officer Rahul Anand, and other senior Police Officers were present at the location.
