Addressing Swatantryaveer Savarkar as ‘Maafiveer’ is absolutely inappropriate

Sharad Pawar’s role in the opposition meeting also attended by Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi – Swatantryaveer Savarkar was never a member of the RSS. It is inappropriate to call him a ‘Maafiveer’. We have many important issues before us, which we should discuss, said Sharad Pawar in the opposition’s meeting. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was also present at the meeting. In the meeting, Rahul Gandhi said that ‘He respected Sharad Pawar’s viewpoint’. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also said that he respected Sharad Pawar’s comment. Many MPs from alliance partner parties expressed their concurrence with Sharad Pawar’s view. A dinner of the friendly opposition parties was organised at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence. The meeting was held prior to dinner. Rahul Gandhi had participated in the opposition parties meeting for the first time. Shivsena (Uddhav Thackeray group) and Trinmool Congress leaders were not present at the meeting.
