Passengers terrified
Murshidabad (Bengal) – Stones were pelted at the Vande Bharat Express running from New Jalpai to Howrah on the Farakka bridge in Murshidabad. “Due to the stone pelting, one windowpane on the right side of coach C-6 was broken,” the official added.

An inquiry has been ordered in this incident. The train was flagged off by Prime minister Narendra Modi on 30th December 2022. This is the third incident of stone-pelting at this newly launched train. The passengers said that they are frightened due to such recurring incidents.
