Trinamool Congress worker killed in a bomb blast at Birbhum (Bengal)

Kolkata – Trinamool Congress (TMC) member Newton Sheikh died in the bomb blast at Margram in Birbhum District of Bengal and his brother Laltu Sheikh, ‘Panchayat-Pramukh’ of TMC got injured. The family members of Newton Sheikh accused the supporters of the Congress party for the attack.

1. Bengal’s Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim said that there could be involvement of Maoists in the attack because the District shares its border with Jharkhand.

2. Bengal Congress Party’s regional President, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said in this context that Congress didn’t have organisational strength in Margram but if someone was trying to give publicity to Congress, then his party has no objection. Everyone knows that the attackers, and the victims, both belonged to TMC, he said.
