Bengal : Vande Bharat Express pelted with stones again, 3rd time train operations disrupted

Kolkata (Bengal) – The incident of stone pelting on ‘Vande Bharat Express’ has come to light. This is the 3rd such incident in Bengal in a week. Stone pelting was done on the CC14 bogie of ‘Vande Bharat Express’ near Barsoi railway station. Hence the railway had to take a halt at Bolpur station. Fortunately, no passenger got hurt in that stone pelting.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Vande Bharat Express’ with a green flag on 30th December 2022. Thereafter on 2nd January stone pelting on the railway took place at Malada at night time. Later on 3rd January at Kishanjung. Leader of the opposition in Bengal and BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari had demanded an NIA inquiry into the said incidents.
