Bengal : Vande Bharat Express pelted with stones again, 3rd time train operations disrupted

Kolkata (Bengal) – The incident of stone pelting on ‘Vande Bharat Express’ has come to light. This is the 3^rd such incident in Bengal in a week. Stone pelting was done on the CC14 bogie of ‘Vande Bharat Express’ near Barsoi railway station. Hence the railway had to take a halt at Bolpur station. Fortunately, no passenger got hurt in that stone pelting.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Vande Bharat Express’ with a green flag on 30^th December 2022. Thereafter on 2^nd January stone pelting on the railway took place at Malada at night time. Later on 3^rd January at Kishanjung. Leader of the opposition in Bengal and BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari had demanded an NIA inquiry into the said incidents.
