Stone pelting by the Muslims at a Garba event in Kheda, Gujarat

Kheda (Gujarat) – Religious fanatics resorted to stone pelting on the Garba event arranged for the celebration of Navratri here in Undhela village, in which 3 individuals were injured. This incident occurred on the night of the 3^rd of October.

The Police said this Garba event was arranged by the village leaders. There is a temple and a mosque near the event venue. Before the start of the Garba, some Muslims came and asked that they cancel the event, but the Hindus declined, and then Arif and Jahir with their group came and began throwing stones at the event venue, informed Rajesh Gadhia, Deputy Commissioner. The Police said that they were identifying the culprits and strict action will be taken against them. Police security has been strengthened in the village after this incident.
