
Srinagar (Jammu-Kashmir) – Ghulam Nabi Azad, former Chief Minister of Congress announced his new party on the auspicious occasion of the 1st day of Navratri. The name of his party is the ‘Democratic Azad Party’.

Azad said that he wanted to announce his party earlier, but he was starting it on the 1st day of auspicious Navratri. The party will run on its own principles; no one will be able to influence it. ‘Azad’ means ‘Free’. The constitution of his party will have a democratic base. His party will allow young and old alike, no age limit. Young – old leaders – workers will have equal opportunity in his party.
