Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) – Justice Piyush Agrawal of the Allahabad High Court Bench has directed the District Court for videography of Shrikrushna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah Mosque built on its land at Mathura, as was done in the case of Varanasi’s Gyanvapi and Shringar Gauri Temple. The time limit set by the Court for the survey is four months. The Court is going to appoint a senior advocate as the Commissioner and two advocates as Assistant Commissioners on the Survey Commission. What is this issue ?
The petitioners filed pleas under the name of ‘Friends of Bhagwan Sri Krishna Virajman’ in the Mathura District Court demanding a scientific survey of Shrikrushna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah Mosque; but even after one year, the hearing on the petition has not yet been completed. Manish Yadav, the petitioner, recently moved Allahabad High Court demanding completion of the hearing as soon as possible. The High Court asked for a report from the lower Court and issued the above orders.
