135 corrupt officers arrested in 5 months in Punjab !  

Chandigarh – In the last 5 months, 200 people have been arrested in corruption cases in Punjab, out of which 135 are Government officers. As per the information released by the State Vigilance Department, among the 135 officers arrested in cases of bribes, 25 are gazetted (Class I) officers. There is also an officer from administrative services (IAS post) and 30 Police officers.

After AAP was elected to power in Punjab, the Government has undertaken a drive against corruption. Under this drive, even the former health minister Vijay Singla was dismissed and arrested for corruption charges. Sadhu Singh Dharmasot, a minister in the then Congress Government, was also arrested in a corruption case.

If the number of arrested corrupt officers is so high, it is difficult to even think of the number of corrupt officers who have not been arrested ! It is a sign of complete chaos in governmental corruption !
