Patna (Bihar) – ‘Anurag Guest House’, located in Banka District of Bihar ran a fake Police station where few people were recruited on daily wages of Rs 500. They held various posts from the Police Chief to the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). A woman worked as a Police officer. This Police station was extorting money from people. Police have arrested 4 persons in this connection, including two women. They informed during their interrogation that they were appointed by Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

1. Dr Satyaprakash, the Banka SP, said that during patrolling, they observed a woman in the Police uniform. She started to run when she was stopped for questioning. She was, however, chased and nabbed. These offenders had formed a trust in the name of ‘Scot Police Team Patna’ under which recruitment was made. Anita Kumari and Julie Kumari are the names of the two arrested women, and Ramesh Kumar and Akash Kumar are the names of the two nabbed men. The main accused named Bhola Yadav is absconding.
2. Anurag Guest House’s manager Rohit Kumar Mandal said that those five persons were staying at the guest house for two and half years and paying Rs. 3000/- per month. They had claimed to be contractors by profession.
