Misappropriation at the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya is a very serious matter : SC Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain

New Delhi: After the construction of the Shri Ram Temple, we all consecrated Shri Ram there. At that time, everyone envisioned it becoming an ideal temple for the entire country. Therefore, the occurrence of misappropriation there is a very serious matter. A thorough investigation into this incident will certainly be conducted; however, a special mechanism should also be established to ensure that such incidents do not recur in the future, said Supreme Court Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain.

Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain further said that the Temple Trust’s treasurer had resigned on moral grounds. A criminal case has been registered in this matter. The Special Investigation Team has submitted its investigation report to the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department. The investigating agencies will now examine the report. Action will be taken against those found guilty, and a chargesheet will be filed. If someone’s name does not appear in the initial chargesheet, it can later be included through a supplementary chargesheet.

Temples should be freed from government control !

Advocate Jain said that, under the present circumstances, temples should be freed from government control. Against this backdrop, if such allegations emerge despite the involvement of the Union Government, the State Government and eminent members of society, it is an extremely serious matter. Therefore, this case must be treated with the utmost seriousness. All governments in the country and society must consider what kind of mechanism should be established to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
