The accusation of abetting jihadi terrorists
Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) – Arjamand Khan, the wife of Farooq Ahmed Dar alias ‘Bitta Karate’ was sacked from Government service. She was working as a senior officer in the village development department of the Kashmir Administrative Service. She is accused of aiding the ‘Jammu – Kashmir Liberation Front’ a terrorist organisation.

Syed Abdul Mueed, son of Syed Salahuddin, the self-styled chief of banned terror group Hizbul Mujahideen was also sacked from service. He is working as Manager (Information and Technology) at the Commerce and Industries Department. Along with him, Dr. Muheet Ahmad Bhat, a scientist at Kashmir University, and Majid Hussain Qadri, a senior Assistant Professor at Kashmir University were removed from service. All of them are being prosecuted under Section 311 of the Indian Penal Code. Bitta Karate killed more than 20 Kashmiri Hindus in 1990.
