Nashik (Maharashtra) – More than a lakh devotees had darshan at Tryambakeshwar amidst the slogans of ‘Jai Bholenath’ on the first of August 2022, the first Monday of Shravan. There was a long queue of devotees from 4.00 a.m. Tryambakeshwar Devasthan gave priority to devotees who paid for darshan as they could have darshan in 2-1/2 hours while the other devotees, who didn’t pay money, had to stand in the queue for darshan for more than six hours. The Devasthan was charging Rs. 200/- each from every devotee and more than 5,000 devotees took advantage of this facility. As a result, the Devasthan earned more than ten lakh rupees on that day.
Considering the crowd of devotees, the Devasthan had to stop paid darshan three times during the day. It was the first Monday of Shravan after the Corona pandemic; therefore, there was a very large number of devotees who had come for darshan. Besides, the parking of vehicles of devotees was shifted by the Devasthan far away from the city, which caused a lot of inconvenience to devotees.
