The Devasthan was charging Rs. 200/- each from every devotee and more than 5,000 devotees took advantage of this facility. As a result, the Devasthan earned more than ten lakh rupees on that day.

Considering the crowd of devotees, the Devasthan had to stop paid darshan three times during the day. It was the first Monday of Shravan after the Corona pandemic; therefore, there was a very large number of devotees who had come for darshan. Besides, the parking of vehicles of devotees was shifted by the Devasthan far away from the city, which caused a lot of inconvenience to devotees.

Editorial viewpoints

  • Tryambakeshwar Devasthan looting devotees on the first Monday of Shravan !
  • These are the adverse effects of the Government taking over temple management ! Only Hindu Rashtra can bring a change in this situation !
  • Taking money from devotees to allow them darshan is not as per the spiritual principles ! Temple is not a place of entertainment for charging people for darshan ! The Government administration considers temples taken over by them as a means of earning money, which is the cause of such condition !
